Hello. I wanted to get an opinion on this listing. The bulb is quite cheap. Does anyone have any experience with cheaper HQI bulbs such as this? I know HQI is a bit archaic in the planted aquarium hobby, but we've chosen to go with halide for our 90 gal, set up.

That bulb may be quite nice. I know I was very happy with the $20 8000K 150w DE bulbs from fishneedit versus the $40 plusrite 175 mogul bulbs. I now have the normal ADA 8000K and the FNI look quite close to them. I would have bought the same bulbs but they are out of stock. My husband thinks the ADA bulbs look better though.
