Hello, does anyone know of any online stores that sell plants that they can recommend?

Like the store has fast shipping, cheap, good quality etc.
I am looking mostly for plants to go on the foreground (micro sword) if that helps.

Also, I am looking for stores that has paypal as a way of payment because my dad doesnt like giving out his credit card number.

thankyou ^^

I have had luck with Lowcoaster on Aquabid. The Swap Shop here at PT.net has given me the best results though.
If possible I would try and stick to other members here since the quantity and quality of what you get will likely be higher.
I second that!!! THe portions are usually MUCH higher!!!
I've also had really good luck with aquariumplants.com but, I agree, getting plants from other members have been some of my best plant buying experiences.
sorry for my late reply xP

It seems that ill probably be being stuff from members on here :D

Im just looking for smallish rocks, java moss/riccia right now. I dont know how most people on here likes to get paid though. I probably will be able to just send money in an envelope and trust people on here since it is a pretty close-knit community ^^
most people here prefer non-cc funded paypal. A good number of them will only take that since they don't want to deal with cash and its easy to print out a shipping label and such using paypal
oh ok, what is non-cc though?
non-credit-card... payment deducted from your checking account directly.
I would vote against aquabotanic. I just received an order from him testing his product and was not happy. The HC and L. peruensis made it fine, but the P. stellatus, L. sp Cuba and Blyxa I ordered were horrible....and melted. I did not like his packing methods. Ive had much better luck with aquariumplants.net.
wait, so im confused. So people dont like to use paypal where money is deducted by creditcards? o.o

ill give that site a check fishman :D

also, i found a site that sells java moss that to me, seems very fair. Two generous handfuls of java moss is 5 dollars ( one handful being 3) and shipping is only 5 dollars. Heres a link:http://www.tinytanks.net/stockshop/

There is a fee for the seller associated with payments made by credit cards so, most people prefer to non-credit card paypal to avoid paying a fee on each transaction.
ohh, i see. I do remember reading somewhere on there that the buyer doesnt have to pay to give money but the receiver does. How much is it usually? Like if it isnt that expensive, i would just pay for it too.
ugh, this is so stupid ><

my dad and i did the whole paypal thing up to the part where we had to call them (credit card way not bank account) the person would not let us finish because we did not have a home telephone number. My family only has cellphones that was use as a hometelephone. The person said that the only other way was to use paypal with a bank account which my dad did not want to do...

now i have no way to get javamoss, rocks, or wood D:
Get a debit card o.o thats what i use on paypal :D I use this https://www.netspend.com/
Some people will accept moneyorders or checks as opposed to just paypal. There is also nothing wrong with CC paypal either...some people will make you add an additional $1 to pick up the additional fees incured.

I am surprised that you had a bad experience with aquabotanic. they are a pretty big supplier (even to stores)

For the record, I did offer you a credit for the plants that "melted", and for this "test" order you chose the slowest most unreliable shipping method, priority mail. As far as the packing method, After doing this for nine years in January, I have settled on the best packing method, putting the plants in plastic bags while still wet with no water. This prevents the plants from drying out, and excess moisture causes them to rot. I send out between 50 and 75 boxes packed this way every week.

Now since I did offer you the credit, I do not know what else I can do, but I am very sorry the experience did not meet your expectations and I hope at some point I will have another opportunity to do better in the future.

Best regards
Hm, is there anyone other than Digsy who can vouch for www.aquariumplants.com?

i saw something that i think will be a good deal. 10 Sag, Subulata (narrow leaf)(Sagittaria subulata) for $4.90. Free shipping. Does this seem to good to be true. By 10, do they mean like the plant itself? Like if it were vallisnerias, then one crown would be consider one?

this looks like such a cool foreground plant
If you dad is paranoid about tieing a bank account to pay pal, do what I did and use an account that has a minimal amount of money in it just for things like your driftwood purchases, etc.
