hey all,

just wondering if anyone has kept marbled hatchetfish w/ crystal red shrimp? I would like the shrimp to breed so i am thinking of removing my few active H. rasboras and replacing them w/ the hatchetfish. I thought maybe the shrimp would feel more safe w/ only top swimmers and the few otto's i have.

Any mellow and peaceful midswimmers that would be recommended? Micro or nano sized fish? example: asian rummynose (sawbwa resplendens)

i know this an old question and have read through the search results but looking for more info... My shrimp have been hiding - is it the rasboras? I can' seem to find all six crs... i think i counted five and was wondering if maybe a h. rasbora ate one?

I've also read that H rasboras have not been a problem at all...

thanks,
kirk

Not sure about the rest, but I have 5 P. furcatas living with my RCS and CRS with no problems at all. Then again, my 55 gallon is extremely heavily planted so there are plenty of hiding spots. But I really haven't seen any hunting going on with my forktail rainbows.

well, i can only still count five shrimp. :(

I've been hoping the other will show up but i have not seen 'em. Do you think a healthy inch long Harlequin Rasbora could eat a crystal red shrimp?

I see the rasbo's looking around in the tank but i have not seen them go near a shrimp in a long time and that was just a nudge of curiosity it seemed.

I'm wondering if i should take the rasbo's back to the LFS and trade them in???
