Say my power goes out in the winter - I'll be running a generator to my tank but the house itself will be very cold. So should I get 2 heaters rated for my tank (about 40 gallons) - so say two 200/250 watt or should I get one 400 watt? What's the best plan if the air temp is very low?
FYI I have an inline heater right now but if I'm running a genny I'd probably not have the canister going 24/7, which is why I'm looking for a backup during a power outage. I would also be able to do warm water changes if needed since my stove is gas.
