Hi all

For the last 3-4 months I think this Oedogonium algae has grown on my leafs in my tank. Pretty annoying...
http://akvariefreaks.dk/haaralge_02.JPG - You get em as links because the size of the pictures is just huge hehe :) That way you can zoom in and see

Also I have another question, what is this green stuff on my Nymphaea lotus?

I'm running 4x30w light but 2 of the lights are only at 30% of light because of this Oedogonium algae, if I turn up on 100% it will be worse..

Tank is 66gal running pressurized co2 with the Milwakuee 122 controller works cool. My tester is light green / yellow so I guess co2 is okay.
I have the eheim pro3 2080 450gal/h with 2 small power heads they make max 105gall/hour just installed em today.
But is it lack of circulation or what do you think?

Heres my fertilizer mixture:
nitrate 20ppm
kalium 30ppm
fosfat 3ppm
magnesium 11,6ppm
calcium 54,1ppm
Fe 0,5ppm

I hope you understand it ^ I really dont know the English words for that.
I'm also having a bit of a fight with BBA which has been in my tank for quite a few months as well :/

What do you think I can do about it?

Have a good weekend

Thanks a lot.
I have 10 amano shrimps, and alot of RCS.
But what is the real reason for this algae to show up? I've really had a fight with it but its not giving up..

Don't assume that your CO2 is okay. This is a common mistake.

By "tester" do you mean a drop checker? If so is it filled with 4 dKH water plus a few drops of standard pH reagent (bromothymol blue)? If you are using tank water in your drop checker the green/yellow color means nothing.

Let us know if adding the powerheads helps. It takes some time for the plants to adjust after you make any changes so the tank may take a few weeks to turn around. Circulation could very well have been the issue.

Yea I am adding kh4 water in my drop checker with the color thingie.
But actually I found out today, after thinking hm strange the PH didn't fall to 6.6 as it use to. To my surprise my magnetic valve 'hangs' a little or dont open up 100% or what ever it does or does not. Actually it only gave like 1 bubble per sec. When its use to do like 3-4 bps..

That could explain it maybe ?
