Can dried oak leaves lower Ph? (I want a more natural way to lower my ph from 7.4+++)

Is it good for a shrimp tank?

The reason I ask is because between the local Sycamore, Pecan, Chinaberry, Pine and Oak trees...oak seems to be the best idea. LOL

I want to put almond or somthing in the tank, but we definatly dont have those here. And I dont wanna spend money on it TBH.

I also want to grow some diatoms/algea on leaves to feed the otos and shrimp (Ghosts for now, Cherries later) as I saw a DIY thread on using leaves.

Yes, oak leaves would be fine.
