Noob question on atomic v3 regulator

610 Views 4 Replies 2 Participants Last post by  filipem
Hi everyone,

I have one of these regulators and so far I like it. The needle valve is a little finicky. But once it's set to the correct slot it's pretty consistent.

My question is can I add a manifold to this regulator? I had a old manifold kicking around sometime ago and that didn't fit. Would I need to build one?

Yes, you can build a mini manifold! The thread on the body of the Atomic regulator and the needle valve is M5. You can get M5 fittings and needle valves from SMC & Mettle Air on Amazon. I replaced my original needle valve with 2 Fabco NV 55 (the one with 10/32 ports, which meant I needed thread adapters). This is what I ordered to build the manifold:
2 of SMC M Series Brass Miniature Tube Fitting, Universal Elbow, M5x0.8 Female x Male
1 SMC M Series Brass Miniature Tube Fitting, Nipple, M5x0.8 Male, 11mm Length,
1 of SMC M Series Brass Miniature Tube Fitting, Union Tee, M5x0.8 Female
& 2 of SMC M Series Brass Miniature Tube Fitting, Hose Elbow, 6mm x 4mm Tube OD x M5x0.8.
I am using this set up on a SpecIII and a Chi that I have De-Chi-ed and have been very pleased. I hope this helps. If you have any questions feel free to pm me.

I just edited the parts list because I left something off an accident & wanted to let you know.
Thanks again. Unfortunately amazon . com does not ship into Canada. And Amazon. ca does not carry smc parts. I think I have the parts figured out. I'm going to ask if I can take these parts from the maintenance shop at work. Man if your not in this line of work these part descriptions are really confusing.

Thanks again for the help.
