Ok, I have set up my 20 gallon in my bedroom because A. it has the only space available in my apartment and B. I like to watch the fish as relaxation before bed.

However, my apartment bedroom gets pretty dark at night, with no outside light sources, so it is impossible to see the tank under normal bedroom conditions.

Is there any type of very faint, not very bright light that I won't have to switch on or place over my hood every night that will provide just enough light to see the tank but not disturb my sleep?

I guess I am looking for a fish tank night light. Suggestions?

I highly recommend the white Current-USA Lunar Links! Two would brighten up a 20 gallon like a full moon. One would be enuf.

I'm using 3 of these on my 6' long tank, and lights up the tank nicely.
Just remember that since the light is a pinpoint it works like a mini MH, the higher the light, the better the spread.
I put one in my 5 gallon bow-front, and it doesn't light the edges at all.
I think 1 would be perfect for a 20 gallon.
