I am not very good at scaping so any advice/comments would be helpful.

It looks good, you just need to work on a midground, which in my opinion is the hardest part to do.

Great looking tank there jesstray. Personnally I think the right side is a lil to "busy". I dont know exactly how to explain what I mean. Maybe its needing more depth, like a set foreground, midground and background plants. But great job regardless
Nice growth but needs better groupings. I forget the name of the really large-leaved red plant (found it - ammania gracilis), but I see several stems that look randomly planted. If you plant 3-4 stems together, it forms a solid grouping of one color/shape, which looks better in an aquascape.

The mid-ground suggestion was a good one, maybe some blyxa japonica!
