Hey guys,

Got this plant from my LFS that they were calling a "Three-Tip Fern," but when I got home to look it up I couldn't find anything. As I have no information on its care, I am treating it as a java fern and keeping its rhizome exposed. The plant, however, does not appear to be so well so I know something is not right. Its beautiful green color is turning pale, almost white, and brown spots are developing. Granted, its in a tank that's currently cycling so that might have something to do with it, but if anyone has any info on the scientific name of this plant or its care, it would be much appreciated!

Thanks
Brandon

Very interesting. You are right sharkbunnie! It looks like what I have is the immersed form of Bolbitis heteroclita. I'm guessing this is why it is loosing its color; It must be converting. Any idea on how long this conversion may take, anyone?
I believe it's a bolbitis (African water fern). Not sure which one though. Hope that helps.
