These are my fire reds (and some nerites)

I've been researching as much as I can about shrimp but was wondering what you guys suggest for additives/minerals

my pH has been a steady 6.8 and kH of 2.2

I've been feeding them a mixture of seachem flakes, hikari wafers, borneo spinach, and fluval granules

I do use Flourish and I did lose one shrimp recently so I'm not sure if I had too much copper in my water, but I did a big water change and reduced the amount each week and they are a lot more active.

Please let me know if I am doing anything wrong or any advice you are willing to give I love these little guys

wow nice red color. dont worry about additives/minerals with them. looks like your soil probably has plenty of stuff already.

have you tested out your other parameters? curious what your TDS is.
how long has that tank be setup? can you tell us more about it?

I'm not sure what TDS is......

It's almost 2 months old, well cycled

Nitrates, nitrites , chlorine, ammonia are all 0

No fish in the tank, just snails, plants, and shrimp

A TDS Meter is a worthy investment to keep shrimps happy. Very beautify reds! Congrats on such good stock
