New to RO

OK,! I'm am restarting a 46g bowfront as a planted tank. I have a new RO system with a 50 gallon storage tank, and a new 6300K BML fixture. The substrate is black fluorite, pressurized CO2. I have all of the dry frets needed.

Our tap water is very hard, around 15KH (last measured with drops)... what ratio of tap to RO water should i start off with? Then I'm assuming that I would use that same ratio for water changes, and top-off with pure RO if need between changes?

Thanks!

What will be living in there? Might be beneficial to remineralize I find that's easier too hard to mix

I think it will be mostly tetras, and cherry shrimp. Do I need to add minerals if I'm only mixing half RO? It seems that my tap water has plenty of minerals already! But I don't know... thats why I'm asking.. thanks
Yea just use 50/50, and see what, you come out with. Could even go a little less depending on how it comes out. Just depends on what you come up with

Get the API; GH and KH water test and stop guessing on what ratio of RO to tap water to use, for the fish and plants you will be keeping. Anyone's input on the right ratio is simply a guess.
I second The API GH & KH test kits they can be had for 12 Bucks ...start with the 50 50 mix and start testing
