I've been thinking of starting up a brackish planted tank.I'm definitely getting a 50 gal. I just don't know if I would rather have a 50 bow or a 50 long. Any pros and cons would be appreciated.

I'm going to cycle fresh ,and slowly turn to brackish. After cycle I'm going to stock with,
2 figure 8 puffers
2 wasps
2 flounder
8 bumblebee gobies
4 amanos
Mts

Plants will be
Tiger loctus
Anubias
Java fern
Java moss
Hair grass
I'm going to see if I can get red ludwigia and babys tears to take.

I would be inclined to choose longer tank.
Larger surface area for oxygen exchange at surface and can add a few more fishes than bow front or cube style aquariums.
Have heard that flounder's need tank twice the width of adult size, and longer by twice the fishes adult length.Plenty of filtration is also suggested.
Is said they seldom do well for long otherwise.

The type of flounder I plan on getting is a hog chocker,or called a puppy tongue. They get between 3-5 inches. +1 for the long.
