Hey guys, I got in a shipment of SSS Feather PRL from speedie today, so I thought I'd share a few pictures of these beautiful shrimp! First off a big shout out to speedie who is a wonderful seller and was very helpful. I ordered the shrimp this Monday, he shipped out on Tuesday and the shrimp got here this morning! He was also very helpful in answering any questions I had. So thanks again speedie!

The shrimp are acclimating currently so here's some pictures of them in the bowl, once I get them in the tank i'll be able to get some better macro shots of them. Maybe I can get speedie to post a few tips on how he gets such clear photos :icon_wink .

Going to put them in the tank now, I will edit this later with some better pictures!

Just got these guys in the tank, they seem be totally fine and have already started mingling with the other shrimps!

This poor guy seems to have lost some of his redness, hopefully he will color up in time.

This guy is probably the best of the 6 I got from speedie, he has the most white of them all and the legs are also more solid than the rest. I will try and find him in the tank and snap a couple more photos of him later!

I'll be updating this thread again after I get some more pictures in a couple of hours, and hopefully will keep it updated as time goes on!

That solid white is amazing. And in a week or so that red crown should fill in and color back up. update pics once that happens. They are beautiful shrimp.

They should color up more over the next day or two. Always amazed how pale they get during shipping.

Hey bettamaniac, yeah the shrimp were so pale when I got them out of the bag I thought they were all going to die for a few minutes.

and Blue Falcon yeah the white is amazing and hopefully will only get better as they get older. I will definitely post pics of their progress as they color up!

My first shipment of CBS, they were so pale you cldn't tell what color they were supposed to be. I was actually pretty surprised that the BKK weren't gray when they showed up. The RW was pale after just being transported in a cup for a couple hours!

Finally was able to get a few shots of that shrimp I was talking about, and WOW he is amazing. This one is definitely the highest SSS grade in the 6. The eyes are a deep dark red and the coloring on the shell is the whitest. It also has the least amount of red on the shell of the 6 and as well as having the most white and red on the legs. Guess all the attributes come together when a shrimp wins the genetic lottery! Enough of me talking about it check it out!

Compared to this other one you can see how much more red the eyes are.

Can't wait for these guys to breed, hopefully I can breed out the red eyes and legs more and it will truly be an amazing shrimp.

^^ That's actually a bonus I gave you because I ran out of regular SSS PRLs. That guy was my last SSS+ ;) , not a regular SSS like the others.

Wait a few more days, you'll like em even more. haha

Wow thank you speedie! I will try and take good care of them. Since these are the most expensive shrimp I have ever had by a very big margin I have to be more careful with my tank from now on, but this SSS+ makes it even more imperative! I think the shrimp are worth as much as the tank, substrate, lights, filter, and everything else except the CO2 now :icon_lol::icon_lol::icon_lol: I was thinking you let that one slip through somehow haha but of course not. I imagine anybody seriously into this hobby examines the shrimp very closely. Do you separate the SSS+ from the SSS after they are born? I can imagine how painful it is examining hundreds of shrimp and moving them to different tanks :icon_eek:

Also does anybody know how many of the babies turn out to be SSS+? I have never bred any shrimp so if anybody has any tips to try and breed more SSS+ I would appreciate the help :).

Does anybody also know whether if you keep breeding SSS+ out whether they eventually just turn purely white, is that how you get snow white shrimp?
