Absolutely -wonderful- plant trade experience this time around!!!

BVS and blue ramshorns having a snack. Hard to get a good shot in the corner where they decided to pile since it's a bow front small tank.

Should have malawa soon to add to the tanks as well, just waiting on a ship date for them when the weather decides agree. Already sent the plants to trade weeks ago, so hopefully they will be arriving this month some time. :)

New pumpkin shrimp that just came yesterday! Looking good and settling in their new home. Yes, yes that is a berried shrimp! 3 berries came in with the 15ish shrimp, so excited! Shrimplets soon!

Checking out the sponge filter.

Another berried momma and blue ramshorns, purple mystery snail they are going share the tank with.

Saddled!

Hitching a ride!
Bonus shot of the tiny longfinned albino BN/red crossed baby plecos that came in with the shrimp. So excited to see these guys grow, so pretty already.

nice pics and congrats on all the new goodies. if you breed the magenta mystery snails i want some lol. i had some about 5 years ago and they all died when i moved
Thanks so excited, I'm absolutely in love with shrimp. They are so fun to watch.

I do breed the mystery snails but so far haven't had any egg clutches this season yet from the light footed ones. Hopefully should be seeing them soon. I have one clutch waiting to hatch of the dark purple/dark footed ones, and about 10 babies that lived from the last clutch that hatched but already gave half of them away. Oddly babies in the tank with the parents lived just fine but every single (50+) baby I moved out of the parents tank and to other tanks around the house didn't survive. No idea why. I'll let you know when I have more for sure. :)

Looks like the shrimp bug got you lol. I started with cherries I got in a trade and then got a few crystals. Was hooked now battling mts haha. Shrimp tanks are sooo simple

-Chris
My plants already pushed me into mts months ago, no room for more tanks so trading plants for shrimp seemed like a great idea! I've had cherries for about 8 months now, so time to branch out into some other colors, especially since I have 3 cherry tanks that could be consolidated into 1.

Going to stay in neos though they are my favorite along with malawa, no interest in getting an RO unit or lugging RO water up the steps to our apartment - not going to happen. lol.

It is dwarf sag, I've never had an issue with it staying small in my 10 gallon tanks. One 10 gallon betta tank was split 3 ways and had the light pretty well dimmed down so it got fairly tall - maybe 5 inches from the low light. In the regular 10 gallon with the 2 CFL 23? watt bulbs grow it low like this. This sag has been in the tank for 8 months (or around there) and I've thinned it out about 8 times to send to friends. It's by far, far my favorite carpet plant because it stays low like this. I've got it in 4 tanks right now - all this same low length. I'm testing it in a 20 long to see if it stays low and have a few in my 40B to also test the height when it grows.
