Hi! My name is Michael .I new to the forum and this is my first planted tank and I just wanted to share a few photos looking for any advice .It is a 55g with Miracle Grow Organic Choice potting mix capped with gravel and I have 4 T12 for my lighting .Thanks for any advice given .

Up to you but I would ditch the coral background, since this is a freshwater tank. Personaly I like a black background I think I can see the plants and fish better with no distracions in back. Again just me. Do you have any fish?

My tank was a reef tank last month and I just forgot to change the background .I will change it .There are a couple small angels in there and a ram .
