Hey guys I was all excited to get my brand new eheim canister filter, until I got home and started to unbox it. The head unit rattles and I didn't think that was normal. After a closer inspection 2 tabs had broken off and are rattling inside the head unit. I removed 1 of the tabs the other is too big to remove. Should I return it, or will it be okay to use as is...I'll post a few pics so you can see the broken parts.

Exact same thing happened to me. If you ordered from amazon get a new one...amazon customer service rules.

I'd say return it. It's supposed to be brand new.

I didn't get it from amazon, I'll have to check the place that I got it from and see their return policy hopefully it's reasonable.
