New Competitor for SunSun?

I've been checking Ebay for the last few days, and there's now a line of canisters competing with the SunSun/Perfect (in price, at least). I sincerely doubt quality is anything better than the low end of barely adequate (if even that), but I'm seeing a claimed 700gph flow canister for $90 shipped. There's a CFS500 (500gph) for even cheaper. I might grab one just for the sake of comparison. One of the posts identifies it as an Odyssea.

Just thought I'd share. Please post if you go ahead and grab one of these!

Any of them use 5/8" hoses by any chance. I can look but thought I ask just in case someone researched this already. It'd be easier to switch back and forth since I already have a 5/8" setup going on both sides of my tank.

I already have a review of the Odyssea CFS500 here, and there are a few mods to it as well. They too have been around for about a yearish.

i believe all the sunsun/perfect canisters use the 5/8" hoses, my sunsun 302 uses them i know for sure. I don't know about the Odyssea CF's tho, but I have read about a member or two here using them and said they were good and worth it, but i love my sunsun, works great. And Perfect *is* sunsun btw in case anyone was wondering ^^

Upon closer inspection, I noticed a couple things from the ads: There's no spraybar, just a (possibly adjustable) jet, and there's no baskets or other dividers. It looks like it comes with a single filter sponge, and then a finer polishing pad. The CFS700 says it comes with a 9w UV sterilizer, but I couldn't find any info or pictures on its media.

Aah, I've seen the review thread, my bad. Didn't remember seeing a picture for it, and had never seen the ad for it on Ebay. I was floored by the price. Is the 700 new? Either way, feel free to disregard this thread :/
