Well, I have my ADA all set up.

Tank is filled with plants (many thanks to Craig and Cavan).

So I have:

65 watts over an 18 gallon tank
Aquasoil/Powersand
CO2 cranked to about 4 BPS (I have no fish, what's the worst that could happen?)
very soft water
light ferts, mostly K and traces

I'll give a status report on growth. Maybe I can try to get some pictures.

Perhaps you want to consider very light fish load as soon as possible. No fish no effective ammonia cycle by the system. I think rasboras will be able to thrife in that kind of CO2 cranking in terms of pH.

Fish would be nice. I'm holding out for some Microrasbora spp, or a small group of C. hastatus or pygmaea. Birthday is coming up, I'd like to make an order for something special. Then again, I've always dreamt of Apistogramma.

However, for fish I would need to get the CO2 to an acceptable level, not just "cranked". That's until the plants become fully established. Time to make a bubble counter (or buy one). And get a better diffusor (now I'm just using a venturi system).
