Congrats but not to be negative but your tables as stands scare the heck out of me. Your cichlids are going to destroy your plants and each other and bala sharks get huge!!!!!
cichlids haven't touched the plants... and the only reason the firemouths chase anyting is because of their fry... i thought the same thing about the stands when i bought the tank 4 months ago... there insanely tough though:drool:... and bala sharks.. yeah the get big i usually just give them away after a year of 2...
Can we get rid of the spam?
Just click on the report button and a Mod will spot and get it ASAP. (I just did...)
The convict and oscar will most likely destroy this tank so I'd plan to leave them out/rehome them. Bala sharks also sometimes will eat plants, so another thing to keep an eye on.

As far as the rest of the setup, your light level is extremely slow, so I'd stick with Anubias, Java ferns, mosses, and perhaps some crypts and swords. Do I understand correctly that you're not adding another fixture to your current T8 fixture, just switching out the bulbs? If that's the case, you've got EXTREMELY low light so don't expect to see the plants grow very quickly. Even 4x T8 bulbs would still be a very low light tank. But your lighting is fine if you don't want to add stem plants and/or get a carpeting plant going. I'm not sure how your Crypt parva will do in this little light, though, so I'd be sure to keep them out of shadows.

You need to make sure that the rhizomes (the green "stem" that the leaves and roots grow out of) on your Java ferns and Anubias are all up out of the substrate and exposed to light, otherwise they'll start to rot and the plant will die. These are both plants that also would do well tied onto your driftwood rather than down in the substrate, but either will work.
