New 15 Gallon Setup

Well this tank has been setup for about a week now and I decided it is about time to post it here.
The stand is a refinished end table with a hanging arm made of some old stand up lamp pieces.
The light is a 2x26w spiral cfl diy fixture. The housing/reflector is a piece of stove pipe (about $4 at lowes) with some thin wood endcaps helping to hold the shape. I spray painted it and sealed the wood with 100% silicone and some mylar sheeting. The reflector is not polished by any means but seems to put off adequate light anyway.
CO2 is a diy paintball style setup. (there is a great sticky on here in the diy forum if anyone else wants to make one) about $35 total.

The tank is a 15 gallon.
Toms mini rapids cannister.
7 serpae tetras and a pleco.
narrow leaf micro sword, HC and some kind of ludwiga.
Eco complete substrate and some pool filter sand.

*** pics removed to save room/data allotment

Sorry about the picture quality.
Any comments , thoughts, or criticisms are welcome.

When I saw the first picture I thought I was looking at a much larger aquarium. I didn't even see the tetras until I looked more closely. Very nice job.

What is the wood? One piece looks a bit straight to be driftwood/bogwood.

The wood is most likely some roots off an old hardwood.
It washed up on the shores of Lake ontario and I just collected it, took a wire brush to it, and threw it in there.

The tetras:

Great looling tank! Keep it updated, I want to see how is your HC do under that light.

BTW: Are you using or planing to use any fert?
How many Bubbles per second are You running and how long does it last?

I like that micro sword, I may get some of those, do they get tall and grow fast?

I will try to keep the updates coming as I make changes.
As far as ferts I have some leaf zone (mostly iron, trace, and potash) and will be buying some spetracide stump remover (pure KNO3).

Accord:
I don't use a buble counter but based on observation and experience I would estimate about 1bbs. I have set this type of system up before and would estimate that at this rate and with a 20oz tank the CO2 will last 2+ months even though there is no solinoid and it runs 24/7.

I have read that the microsword is not a stong/fast grower but only time will tell.
Is there a way I can move this thread to the tank journals forum or a moderator that can do it for me so I can update it there periodically?

I can't find it. Could you post a link to it?

I thought it was a Sticky, my bad.
I personally never mess around with the gauges either, you could if you wanted too, but I see it as just one more place for a leak to form.

So you didn't put gauges on your device. I am more on appearance than numbers so I don't think the gauge that important.
