Flooded this tank on Monday. I"m putting all the tricks I've learned and all the equipment I've always wanted into it. No plants yet, I only have time for about one project after work. Monday flood, Tuesday finished putting together the light (Got the LEDs from Modular LED, they were very friendly and helpful). I really like the way the lights look. They are on a dimmer so I can adjust the intensity in case of future algae without having to move the light up or down.

9 modular (2 LED/module) Cool White CREE XP-E mounted to 3x 10"x1" heat sinks that are in turn mounted inside an aluminum C channel and mounted on the tank. Mean Well driver with dimmer.

Let me know what you think. I'm also planning on getting a hydor in line heater and would love to get a computer module that can do a long dawn, noon, sunset with the LEDs, and ... still dreaming... a peristaltic pump to dose frets, and one to top off with RO water...lol.

Looks pretty good so far. My only concern is that the leftmost side of the tank won't grow that well due to the lower light level...

Planted today. The HC started pearling as soon as I got it in the tank. I had only had the tank flooded with the filter running, no CO2 until I got it planted. I"ll take that impatient pearling as a good omen.

These are all from other tanks, the HC was still potted and had turned into a bush, now unspotted and spread about. C. parka I picked up recently. Hydrocotyle Japan, the ivy looking plant, I think it is just so beautiful. A small patch of fissidens.

I'll be on bladderwort, riccia and duckweed alert for a few days as it's in all my tanks and I really don't want them in here.
