Look into a Rex Griggs or Cerges reactor.
thats what I am thinking now. I have been looking at both. I think Griggs is cheeper and easier to make.Look into a Rex Griggs or Cerges reactor.
yea if I had the money I ABSOLUTLY get a canister filter. I cant wait. even just the chopstick difuser I had worked amazingly. I am going to use the glass diffuser I have for now because its going to be set up for 2-3 months before I get the shrimp so I am hoping in the beginning of sept to get the new filter and then end of sept get the shrimp. Prob going to make the reactor while on vacation at my grandfathers place in Maine. he has old pipe lyign around and things like that. I might have 1/2 the parts there alreadySince this is your first foray into canister filters, I think you're going to be surprised by how quiet most of them are.
And once you get your reactor up and running, you're also going to likely be surprised by how well your system works.
If you want to "connect CO2 directly", you can get an inline CO2 diffuser that you splice into the tubing. Some people splice it before the canister, some after.Do they make them that you can connect the co2 directly or should I just plan on getting/making a reactor
Cerges is easier by far. Both cost similar. I've used both. And the cerges has less effect on flow then the griggs.thats what I am thinking now. I have been looking at both. I think Griggs is cheeper and easier to make.
