I am going to set up a 10g aquarium for breeding cherry shrimps and nerite snails. Since nerite snails require brackish water for breeding, my question is what is the minimum amount of salt I should add to the tank to keep snails, shrimp and Java moss happy and growing?

Nerites live just fine in freshwater, they just don't reproduce. And they'll need a good deal of salt to hatch eggs, way more than your shrimp will be happy with. Stick to fresh and everyone stays happy :)
