I added a single Nerite snail to my tank two days ago, and since then there have been bite marks showing up on my Anubias leaves. It was my understanding that Nerites only consume algae and decaying matter. Has anyone else had experience with Nerites eating leaves? It's the only inhabitant in the tank. Unfortunately I'll have to re-home it if this keeps up.

no i have several in my tank and have not had any issues possibly a fert issue

This tank has been setup for over a year. It has low light, EI dosing, and CO2. This is the first I've seen any markings like these. Visually it looks similar to when you see the pith after zesting an orange. The leaves are green and then there are sudden markings of white. There are no pinholes to be found. Also, the affected leaves are only in the area where the nerite has been grazing.

What types of plants do you have in your tank?
