Neon Dwarf Rainbows

I'm looking at getting some Neon Dwarf Rainbows (Melanotaenia praecox) from Invertz Factory. I have a 75 gal with no fish right now. I want to have a small school with plenty of room for a school of Furcastas Rainbows later. What I've read says these get 2-2.5 inches. How many of these (the Neon Dwarfs) would be reasonable? I'm thinking 5-7.

Thanks... I'm more into plants than fish.

I have a group of 6 in my 36 Bowfront, they are VERY happy, Great fish to have. My largest male is just about 3", with all the rest being smaller. The females are around 2.5" You could probably get away with a few more than that, your tank has plenty of room for fish.
both are great fish
you might be fine as you have a larger tank, but my neon dwarfs were always targeting/ relentlessly chasing my furcatas around (in a 15 gal tank)

I have not had furcatas with the Dwarf Neon's, but I do house them with an equal amount of threadfins, in which they ignore lol
Dwarf Neons are are like fish with ADD. Awesome fish, but super active, always on the go, everywhere. Super easy to breed, and they get some awesome colours when they are displaying to eachother.
In a 75gl, you could easily do 12 or so. No problem.
BUT you also said you want some Pseodomugil Furcatas, and they are awesome too, unreal awesome, ha, but they are in my experience, a lot calmer. They are active, but in a more chillaxed way. I've never kept them together, but in a 75, you could easily do 12 of either without sweat.
