i have a 2.5G with a CT betta, a AC20 with a heater. i was wondering, if i want to put in a driftwood with a few java fern or a small anbius... will that be ok? i mean, the filter has like a little waterfall to put the water back into the tank, and i read that moving water is 'bad' for planted tanks... and also if i use my desktop lamp, that ok? i have one of those compact florescent lightbulb and it says like 120V/60Hz on it...

Java fern can grow with very little light. It will probably be ok in your small tank. Try it. And water flow is not bad for planted tanks. A lot of surface movement is not good if you are injecting CO2 but you don't have to worry about it.
