Been looking up pictures of both and it does look to look like a Helanthium. I purchased it as a subulata, and it was really in bad shape when it arrived so i put it on the side and forgot about it. Now that it's growing, i couldn't remember what it was. Maybe i received the wrong plant.
If it's a Helathium, shouldn't it flower at some point? Maybe i can identify for sure then.
