Need help...Finnex transfo dead & timer-dimmer

My Finnex Fudgeray+ 21watts AC-DC transformer is dead! The transformer output is DC15V 21 Watts

A Finnex replacement transfo is 30$+15$ shipping plus it need to some welding! I am not an electrical nerd ! :)

1) Can I replace it by this transfo ? IB 261911841194 Any better choice?

2) Can I used this timer-dimmer (it can be cool) ? IB 261985934006

3) I have 2 Finnex (21 watts)....Can i connect both Finnex on the same timer-dimmer ? probably....

Thank you!

Lots of better choices esp. if you want to dim and run 2 units off one power supply..

Yes just put each fixure on it's own channel.. Keep in mind the 4A per channel limit.. (60W)

See above.. only need to strip and attach.. Keeping polarity is the tricky part..Best w/ a voltmeter to check each part..
Wiring the fixtures "backwards" shouldn't damage them.. (no guarantees)..

Need at least a 3A 15V ps to run 2 units..(2x 1.4A)
LRS Mean Well Enclosed Switching Power Supplies

you you want to get fancy and give your lights a boost.. you can get one w/ adj. voltage.. Increasing voltage by a volt (16V) will increase output (at the cost of added heating)
Not for the squeemish.. just as an FYI..
It will cost more than $15 though..

Please...kept your explanation simple.I am not an electrical nerd !

I need a 24 volts transfo as input for the dimmer. A 3A should be good for 2 x 15v x21watts ? this brand 192024396859 ?

And after the dimmer, need to reduce the voltage from 24v to 15v with that ? 142028123893

That should work?

Thanks

I need a 24 volts transfo....as input for the dimmer....and after the dimmer....reduce 24 volts to 15 volts (or 16v) ?

Just need a 24 volts tranfo string for 2 lights x 15v x 21 watts? ..like 24v 3A ?

Thanks
no, you need a transformer that outputs the same voltage as what the Finnex wants.. Ignore the MOSFET part.

TC-420 will run on any voltage between 12 and 24V ....
Just attach the power supply (15v) to the input.. then attach each fixture to the outputs..

A bit sloppy .. ch1 is not used.. and those are 3 Beamsworks.. Finnex planted plus is about the same..

Watts = volts x amps..

or Amps=watts divided by volts..

Great..i don't need to input 24v for the dimmer to work and reduce after to 15v.

As mentioned, just need to provide a 15V power supply for enough Watt for the 2 Finnex directly (3A) !good :)
