[Razorworm]

I picked up a number of used tanks this summer and I am finally getting around to cleaning them. I tried CLR and it got a lot of the stains off but they are still pretty bad. Any other suggestions?

Razorblades and some elbow grease. I would assume CLR may harm the silicone, no?. I've used vinegar quite successfully in the past cleaning calcium deposits from old reef setups.

Bleach may work depending on what stains they are.

I only ever use bleach diluted in water, which is a pain because you have to rinse it super well, and vinegar. Vinegar removes all the water stains, etc. Bleach kills everything.

CLR is a baaaad idea. That stuff eats through everything.

i use vinegar in water and a scraper (idk the exact name) to get the spots off.

Most people will shoot me once they read this, but i've used dish soap for cleaning tanks before also.
