If you do need a fish vet for your tank, they are in the offing. Orthopaedics, obstetrics, basic examination, blood work and X-rays to the advanced, including ultrasounds and computed-tomography (CT) scan, read:-

That is quite an interesting read. I don't have any fish I could spend $100.00 on for a "tank call" but I've wanted to find a vet who knew something about fish who could look at a couple guppies and tell me what they died of.

I was in on a ceasarian section type egg take on a 10 foot sturgeon in school (they are voluntary spawners unlike salmon). It was awesome!
