Is there way to lover PH some Natural Way, instead of add chemicals?

Throw some peat moss in your filter. It will naturally lower your pH but it will also turn your water a little brown. Fluval I think sells it in the filter packs. They have two types.

For planted tanks, CO2 injection comes to mind. When you say "natural, without adding chemicals" I assume you refer to buffers and such.

If CO2 is out you could cut your tap water with distilled/RO water.

Any decent garden center. You want the ground peat moss. Normally comes in 1-3 cubic foot bales.

Be advised that it will also discolor the water.

ADA Aqua Soil considered natural? It's way easy though. And it's "natural." Think of it like strong peat moss with the side effect of having the greatest substrate every created IMO :-D.

Peat leaches tannins which are chemicals, so no.
I'm not sure what you mean by Natural, CO2 is "natural", so is NO3.
So is K+ etc.........

At the Home Depot near me, the only peat moss they had had Miracle Grow added to it - you don't want that. Check for additives.

Look again. Get out of the area with the little bags. The type of peat moss we use is normally sold in 1-3 cubic foot bales.

Once again I ask myself why I don't offer peat moss for sale?

What if you presoak the Peat moss? until the that water turns brown and then rinse. I know it probably wouldn't get all the brown color out.

I thought the brown was the tannins and that the humic acid lowered pH? Or are they the same thing/related?

When the tannins are gone so are the acids for the most part.

tannins have health benifits too... it's all complicated. its a mixture of tannic acids, humics, and lots of other compounds.
