Hello

I wish to make a 10 liters Amano like tank.
I need advice about filtration , CO2 and lighting.

Do you think a filter is need for such a little volume which will contain 2 or 3 amano shrimp and 2 or 3 endlers (and many plants).

A DIY CO2 isn't too risky for such a little volume ? What about flourish Excel as the only carbon provider (I have never test this product, Seachem have no distributor for France :( ) ?

What about lighting ?

I think a lot of it will depend on what you're growing in the tank. I would use some sort of mini hang on filter, water parameters shift too quickly in a small tank. You'd want a little bit of current anyway.

Basicly, the use of co2 will depend on your lighting, and the lighting depends on the plants you're growing, so you'll want to decide what plants you want to keep first.
