+1 very infrequent trimming of the moss will keep it in check, its not that fast growing. You can ty to get "mini" mosses or fissidens as a more compact option that will take even longer to try to grow over the petite.Depending on the type of moss, but beings most are slow growing, periodic use of scissors will keep the moss from being unruly

Moss and anubias nana petite can be tied on the same driftwood...but not in a same place. As moss will likely cover the rhizome of the petite once growing without trimming.
Another idea is moss on driftwood and anubias tie on rocks and go around the base of the driftwood.

If you keep on top of aggressively trimming the moss, it will be a bit compact over time and should not overwhelm anything much.
