Here are a couple of pics of the 'things' growing in my tank. I have not found anything similar in any algae or fungus pics posted online. Closest would be back beard algae, but this stuff is not as fuzzy, only grown on one piece of driftwood, is both black and white, and easy to remove with a gentle brushing. It's growing in an established 115 gallon tank. There is no other visible algae except for minor green spot on the glass and rocks.

Any ideas?

Is the driftwood a new addition? Do you remember changing anything before seeing these pop up? Was the driftwood boiled before it went in the tank?

If they're new pieces of wood, they could be roots growing from the not-quite-dead wood.

Yes, mine is new.. (half year)... And I don’t boiled before use it... its risky or only ugly? :)
I'm not sure about the risk, but we know that dead driftwood with no roots is safe, so if it were me, I would take it out. But that's your call.
