I have a planted 10gallon and using aquasoil amazonia I as substrate. When I first started the tank the pH was around 6.5. Then I put a purigen pouch in the filter to remove tannins from aquasoil and I guess it raised the pH. However, the purigen has been out of the tank for like 2 and a half weeks and I am even using a different filter. The pH is reading about 7.6 right now, and I am adding some CRS/CBS so I know they need a lower pH.

What should I do? I have some Seachem Natural Regulator I can try since it says it will lower pH to 7.0.

Do you have any rocks in the tank? If those are carbonate containing rocks they would cause a rise in pH, by raising the KH of the water.

That "neutral regulator" will do far more harm than a 7.6 pH, or even higher, could ever do. 7.6 is not an excessively high pH. Just slowly acclimate the "livestock" to that tank water before adding them to the tank.
