Hi all!
I'd decided to make another aquarium, something bigger this time (not too big, I recognize, but it's bigger than the last one! :hihi, and with the space I had in my room I coud make an 80x35x35 26 gallon tank!
I started this tank at 12-11-2006 and I used a mix of flourite, azoo initial fertilizer and some basalt as a neutral substrate.

After some time and 2 weeks without CO2 a disaster! Algaes and no significant plant growth!!!

CO2 on and 20 days after, it still looks terrible!

And yesterday with some new plants added and algae free with some plant growth!
Added some flammeus and takasei tetras, rotala vietnam, utricularia graminifolia and valisneria nana!

So the co2 injection alone rid you of your algae problem?

Only the co2 injection and some water changes have solved my big problem!

Edit.: ahhh, I think that one point that have helped my in solve my problem is the maturation of this tank I think that the cycling period of a planted tank is longer than other ones and causes many algaes explosions! rsrs

I was having such terribles nightmares 'till this tank got cleaned of algaes!

The foreground plants are glossostigma elatinoides anda utricularia graminifolia (I am planning to let just this one on this planted tank, but I don't know if this plant will grow well on this tank, time to study more! hehe)
