Hi everyone, just wanted to share a shot I took tonight of my new ram hiding out under my sword plant. I'm pretty sure it's a male. He'll be joining my other female, 11 neons, 2 otos, 11 ghost shrimp and 5 amanos in my 29 gallon planted tank.

also for those who are curious on the full tank

Gotta love GBR!!! It's my priority if I end up getting a larger tank.
^^ agreed! maybe my 110 will be GBR.... bah ANOTHER project.. lol
I love GBRs! It looks like a male. Hopefully the female and male will spawn and you will get fry!

That's what I'm hoping for in the long run. This is my first time with rams so I'm a little apprehensive never had really delicate fish before. I figure if my otos have lasted 4 months the rams should be OK though.
You pull off colored gravel better than I have ever seen in a planted tank. Well done.

HAHA Thanks! I was waiting for a comment on that. My wife insisted on it. The tank started out with it as a cap to my flourite but I didn't like the look so I got to spend hours taking out blue gravel one grain at a time. Finally decided to just let it go before going insane.
Well I guess it just works well with the color of your fish. It doesn't look near as tacky as most colored gravel looks in a planted tank. I should know I had a cap of red gravel in my tank for a while. Yuck
