How does this design look?
I have an AquaClear 30 powerhead, but I might need something a little weaker like an AquaClear 20 powerhead, because the hamster water bottle is a little less than 2 inches diameter and 5 1/2 inches tall EXcluding the screw top portion where the cap goes.

Well this is a typical DIY diffuser ,and its nothing new.
I would follow Tom Barr's design and connect a tube one end in the PH intake and the other end in the diffuser near the top (2" from the top)to recirculate the co2 collecting at the top .you also need to insert the co2 line in to the diffuser.
