So this my 1st attempt at a dirted tank, 2nd attempt at a planted tank.

I have about 2 inchs or so of marical grow organic potting mix, then a mixture of aquarium gravel and aquarium sand.

i ended up doing the mixetur after about a week. at first i just had gravel, it wasnt enough to keep the mgopm down. hoping the sand mixture will stop it.

im sure im supose to write more, but i dont know what. so if u have questions ask

as the stems you have become established and start growing top them often and replant the trimmings.

mo plants mo better on new dirt tanks
Yea whats the proper way to cut them?
on stems cut between the leaf nodes or at branching points. I use small scissors or just my thumbnail.
Not hard at all. I bet even i can manage to do that
Are you going to add dw or anything to the tank?
Dw? Sorry dont know what that is. But sure ill add some
here is a updated pic. it looks like my java fern is turning brown any tips?
