Your high fin platies are gorgeous. All the LFS in my area sells them for an insane $6.99 each. One thing I wanted to point out was that all your platy varieties are going to interbreed and leave you with little baby mutts. Especially with a rarer form like the hi-fin, you might want to isolate strains.

Also, I'd definitely suggest a little more plant cover to hide your fry. Or are you using a seperate breeding tank or breeding box?

Is that a dwarf sag hiding behind the driftwood? Is it getting any light back there? Dwarf sag is fairly low growing (mine stayed around 4 inches), so you might consider moving that. Vallisneria could be an option for the background behind the driftwood, as they grow well in the harder alkaline water that the livebearers like. And you might consider tying some mosses to the driftwood to add green and supply a hiding place and feeding place for renegade fry. Java moss is easy to grow. I ordered mine from a hobbyist on aquabid or ebay, cant remember which, because I couldnt find it locally.

Thanks for the advice. It is nice to see someone on here from the same area. I have been going to world of wet pets in Beaverton and they seem to have really healthy fish and really know what they are talking about. But I will totally try the other place too.
The dwarf sag behind the driftwood is fake. I had all fake in their when I started and had taken that out. I put it back in last night just to give the fry some ground cover. All the other pants are live though.
As for the breeding. I know I have 3 types of platys in there and I don't mind of they interbreed. I am not doing this to mass produce fish. The LFS store I go to said they would buy them from me if I needed to get rid of some. As for now, it is really weird, each male and female only swims with the same breed of the other sex. I love love love my high fins. I am trying to get another female because the male can get very excited and doesn't leave my little lady alone as of now. And he has never gone to another female from what I have seen. They are 2 of my original fish that I got when I started. I think 2.99$ at Petco.
