I know that my aunt does this with her BN pleco and 3 tanks. Not sure if it's worth the risk with more sensitive Otos though.
I've done that with "otos" and it worked very well. The only problem is that you will need patience and good eye-hand coordination to catch them when they're in a large tank (you'll probably need to lower its water level quite a bit)... especially if it's well planted. Good luck! Was wondering if anyone has ever had a really good cleaning crew of shrimps and fish that they moved from tank to tank?
I ask because I have oto's in a 55 gallon tank and they've cleaned all the algae. I have 2 smaller tanks that have algae and was wondering if I should assimilate them to one of the tanks, leave it in there for a few weeks and then continue that process.
Any thoughts or suggestions? The water parameters of all the tanks are about the same, with the exception of temp.
Thanks for the input
