I know that my aunt does this with her BN pleco and 3 tanks. Not sure if it's worth the risk with more sensitive Otos though.
Musical Tanks
Was wondering if anyone has ever had a really good cleaning crew of shrimps and fish that they moved from tank to tank?
I ask because I have oto's in a 55 gallon tank and they've cleaned all the algae. I have 2 smaller tanks that have algae and was wondering if I should assimilate them to one of the tanks, leave it in there for a few weeks and then continue that process.
Any thoughts or suggestions? The water parameters of all the tanks are about the same, with the exception of temp.

Ive done that with a rubber lip he couldnt get to the algae wafers in the goldfish tank. I may have stressed him out though from trying to net him so often. i hate seeing skinny algae cleaners.
I've done that with "otos" and it worked very well. The only problem is that you will need patience and good eye-hand coordination to catch them when they're in a large tank (you'll probably need to lower its water level quite a bit)... especially if it's well planted. I've done this in the past & killed perfectly good established oto schools. I have a rubber lip that moves well though, awesome hardy fish.
Were your water parameters different between the tanks? Mine are very similar. I think the stress of trying to net them might not be worth it, didn't think about the netting part.
