I love my Eheims but... everyone knows their flow rates are less than ideal. I don't mind using several filters on the same tank, however I want increased flow through my CO2 reactor.

Is it safe to run 2 or 3 canister filters (each filter has its own intake) into a single CO2 reactor with a single output into the tank to increase flow through the reactor?

I have 2 x Eheim 2217's with 1/2" ID returns and was hoping to use a straight manifold (not a Tee or Wye) to tie the outputs of each filter together prior to entering the reactor. The reactor would be a 2" x 20" Griggs style running a single 3/4" ID return to the tank.
