I have 23 red cherry shrimp that are very happy in their planted bowl. I set up the bowl when I got the shrimp because I was unsure of how the fish and water parameters in my 20 long would treat the shrimp upon arrival.
Anyway, this weekend I would like to try to introduce a few at least to the planted 20 long. I just checked the pH and it was at 6, GH was at 7, nitrates, nitrites, ammonia are all in check as the tank has been running for about 3 months now. I do dose EI daily rated for a 20 gallon, as well as CO2 till the indicator is lime green. Temperature is just under 74 F.
How should I go about moving these guys over and is there anything that I should do before hand? Turn off CO2 and slowly increase it over the next few days? Cut back fertilizers and slowly step up?
Also, the only other inhabitants are a dozen neon tetras, two ottos, and random pond snails.
Thanks,
Garrett
