planning a rescape now that I know I can grow plants, I have java fern, anubias and corkscrew val. should I cut the roots on the corkscrew val and anubias when replanting them or leave them as is? the anubias I will just be moving to a different piece of driftwood

I always trim the roots when replanting, but that is just me. It tends to make it a little easier to replant.

The anubias doesn't need it but the vals could probably be planted easier with trimming roots. Same with java fern if it's attached to something. Won't need to trim the roots necessarily.
