Has anyone had success with making moss walls? And if you have which technique did you use? I really don't want to spend hours sewing moss and then having it not work :|

Saw a few videos on youtube... Java moss walls...
One guy showed a full back wall as well as a full filter since it will grow to just about anything...
He said it was after 2 months (yea, that may be a stretch), but it should work if you have good water, food, and light... And CO2 never hurts...

Title of video: You sure you want Java Moss in your Freshwater Aquarium?

Just more information for ya...
I've got it working in one tank, using subwassertang (not truly a moss). I have not had much luck with java moss. I just put two sheets of plastic mesh together, tied in various places with fishing line, and added suction cups.

Do you have any pictures of it?

Probably the easiest, most reliable way would be the blender method. Put moss in a blender with some plain Greek yogurt or cultured milk and paint the mixture onto your wall surface with a brush. Dry start it for a few weeks to let the moss regenerate and attach to the wall.

This or for a already set up running tank ( depending on the size of your back glass piece or how much you want to cover) also ( assuming that your background is black) you can go to your local arts and crafts store and grab yourself couple of knitting black plastic canvas Sheets (or whatever color you prefer) some small zip ties in the same color you trying to run it and connect however many sheets you need and maybe some suction cups if you want that Gap between the sheets and the glass. But before you put it all together you can get a medium Grit sandpaper and sand down the sheets to give it some texture for the Moss can attach itself better on one side or both sides. Only do one side if you trying to have the sheets flush with the glass and if you want growth on both sides of the sheets you can add the suction cups and wedge some of that Moss between the sheets and glass. You can cut that canvas to have her say preform you wanted to be to perfect your look you're trying to achieve.

I hope this helps some.
