The only 100% cotton thread I could find is waxed as well. Is that a problem?

I liked the idea of cotton because I thought it dissolves so I wouldn't have to remove the rocks and cut off the line.

It should just take longer to decompose. For appearance sake you might want to cut it away after the plants attach naturally.

Waxed thread, for those who were doing the Huh? thing, is usually used for leather work. It slips through the leather where standard thread would snag. For those still doing the Huh? thing, much leather work is done on a sewing machine. A heavy duty sewing machine. Nothing like the wallet you made at summer camp or bible school. ;-)
