Hello!

I wanted you to be among the first to know about our newest special exhibition, Wild About Otters - which opens to the public on March 31! Your blog caught my attention and I think you'll find some information on our web site about the animals featured in Wild About Otters, the plights they face in their natural habitats and what you can do to help interesting - just visit http://www.mbayaq.org/efc/wildaboutotters.asp.

Come back for more information on March 31 - when we'll have additional information on line about this exhibit. If you just can't wait and want to learn more about the 30 plus freshwater species right now you can also check out the WAO's press kit at http://www.mbayaq.org/aa/pressroom/web/PressKits.aspx.

Keep on blogging about your passions in life - it inspires us to hear your thoughts.

Aloha~

Hi Angela, nice to see someone from Monterey here on the forum.

I was born and raised there...in fact my in-laws own a restaurant in P.G., maybe you've heard of it? Pepper's on Forest ave.

Anyway, my in-laws and my daugther are Charter members at the MBA. We are looking forward to our next vist back home.

I went to the AGA convention a few months ago and we went to the MBA as part of that. they gave us a behind the scenes tour which included their plans for the freshwater exhibit and showed us a couple 500 gallon planted tanks they had up on the roof (above the kelp tank). Awesome awesome looking and not a single piece of algae. I think Tom Barr was consulting with them. I can't wait to see the exhibit!

Those of us lucky enough to attend the AGA Convention field trip in November got a sneak peak at the prototype planted displays. If the real displays are anything like the prototypes, they're just going to blow people away - they were top notch!

Good luck with your exhibit, if I lived in CA I'd be the first to visit!

EDIT: Ack! Ninja'd!
