I am trying to plant and grow monte carlo the hard way.
Only because I don't know if I want to plant dsm method again.
I planted dsm method initially and had success with the monte carlo
filling in great. Then it lifted up and I had to pull it all. Now
I am trying to plant individual plantlets and trim to get it
to spread. It's not working out so well. Maybe the monte carlo
has to go from emmersed state to submersed. Question: should
I start over with dsm method again, or will the new planting eventually
fill in. And if I do dsm will my crypt parva stay alive during the dsm
method time period. Do I need to pull other plants out during dsm.
Thanks,
Jeff

Cut your carpet in to smaller pieces and plant them into your substrate, plant them deep so only the tops remain out.
Yes, your monte carlo will have to adapt to growing submersed so give it some time.
