does an empty molt have legs and everything? i thought there were dead shrimp laying around but i think its just the molts. does the entire thing stay intact?

how fast to CRS grow? i've had my cherries since friday and one of them for sure has grown considerably. the member who sold them to me told me they were all juvies yet the one has yellow 'pre' eggs or whatever they're called..

Ok, if you don't see any meat on your shrimp shell, it isn't your shrimp. Dead shrimp turn pink after a while, kind of like a cooked shrimp. Well at least with ghost shrimp. Never seen a dead shrimp before besides ghost.

And yes the entire thing stays entact. Just not the part where the shrimp ripped out of, which is near the head.

They will grow. Don't worry about the molts or even dead shrimp. They will provide food for the live ones.

How big are baby shrimplets? I see like 4 baby shrimp and that's it. At least 5 or 6 of my female RCS were carrying eggs about 5 weeks ago! The tank is stocked with RCS and hitchhiking snails.

I have an internal filter powered via a powerhead w/ a pre-filter sponge.

What the. :(

My RCS grow fast, but I haven't seen any babies....once one female started carrying eggs, all the others did too, within a week or so.

Actually, you should worry about dead shrimp a lot, because that means something is wrong, unless an old one died, in which case I never see. Old RCS means a solid dark red. If you see an old one die, then you might not have to worry about it, but a random dead RCS means trouble!

IMO RCS are the hardiest shrimp. I've never killed one before.
